Seth Morrison has enough rock-star footage and flattering industry sound bites to create an acclaimed documentary from an editing bay. But that would be too easy. As a skier and innovator, Morrison continuously looks ahead, so it comes as no surprise that his documentary “The Ordinary Skier” (released Fall 2011) should do the same. Morrison seeks new challenges not as means of maintaining sponsors, but because reinventing himself is what Seth does. And he did just that in Chamonix over the past two seasons, where he delved into a new chapter of his career – ski mountaineering. Morrison pushed his comfort zone and skied some of Chamonix’s most notorious and consequential lines.
